A Converation with Nikole Hannah-Jones

Whether you are a fan or critic of The 1619 Project, or perhaps just learning about it, we invite you to join ALF as we hear from author and journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones and engage in dialogue with leaders from diverse perspectives.

Nikole Hannah-Jones is the Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of The 1619 Project and a staff writer at The New York Times Magazine. She has spent her career investigating racial inequality and injustice, and her reporting has earned her the MacArthur Fellowship, known as the Genius grant, a Peabody Award, two George Polk Awards, and the National Magazine Award three times. She is also now the founder of the Center for Journalism and Democracy at Howard University.

The conversation with Nikole Hannah-Jones will be moderated by Rev. Michael-Ray Mathews (Class XLI), Deputy Director, Faith in Action global network, Senior Fellow at Auburn Seminary, and podcast host of Prophetic Resistance and The Four.

This event is part of our Revolution of the Heart 2022 Speaker Series.
