Catching up with Fellows Class XLIII

Back in September, Class XLIII was hosted by current ALF Fellow Tamara Alvarado at the Packard Foundation’s Taaffe House, where the group participated in a powerful session with Christie Hardwick (Class XIV), author of Radical Self-Tenderness: How Nurturing Your Own Soul Can Help Heal the World.

The Fellows explored “contexts” or mental models that influence their behavior and outcomes. They shared and received peer feedback about “trading up” to more powerfully express their leadership to achieve their personal and professional goals, including those for the common good. Class XLIII headed into October at roughly the halfway point in their year-long Fellows Program journey.

In October, ALF Fellow Nadine Rambeau hosted Class XLIII at the beautiful EPACenter in East Palo Alto for their session titled Exploring Power, Belonging & Equity.

The Fellows engaged in group dialogue using resources including their power autobiographies, Brene Brown’s On Power and Leadership, the concept of structural belonging from the Othering & Belonging Institute, and the Silicon Valley Pain Index from the Human Rights Institute at San Jose State.

The Fellows head into the final weeks of 2024 actively supporting each other, eager to leverage their leadership, expertise, and relationships for good in the community.

MEET CLASS XLIII

EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE. TRANSFORMATIVE YEAR.

For over thirty years, ALF has carefully curated a diverse cross-sector cohort of up to twenty-eight senior leaders for an intense one-of-a-kind leadership development experience.

Through the ALF Fellows Program, leaders reach outside of their professional training and networks to explore stories and strategies that raise our collective human consciousness, deepen empathy and expand our ability to see, feel, and lead in this new paradigm.
