The American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley board of directors welcomed two new appointments at this year’s board retreat in Half Moon Bay at the end of September.
Joining our incredible slate of volunteer leaders are ALF Senior Fellows Dave Babulak (Class XLIII), Managing Member at Strongpoint Holdings LLC, and Rebecca Vermeulen (Class XLI), VP of Customer Strategy at Genentech.
About Dave Babulak
David Babulak is the Managing Member of Strongpoint Holdings, LLC, an investment company focused on real estate, public markets and private companies.
Dave’s philanthropic efforts are focused on local organizations working to make Silicon Valley a better place for all. A longtime supporter of Second Harvest Food Bank, he served on the board for eight years and remains on the Finance Committee and Facilities Expansion Committee. He is also donor partner at SV2.
Dave served as an Engineer Officer in the United States Army and holds Engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and Stanford University.
About Rebecca Vermeulen
Rebecca Vermeulen is an accomplished healthcare leader with extensive experience in Medical Communications, Patient Partnership, Digital Health, and Six Sigma. Currently, she serves on the board of the Genentech Patient Foundation and is a board member for Patient Focused Medicines Development (PFMD).
Rebecca has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing patient inclusivity and has established global standards for engaging with healthcare professionals and patients. Rebecca has held significant leadership roles, including Chair of the Global Board of Directors for the Drug Information Association (DIA) and Chair of the Global Board of Directors for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).
She currently serves as a Chair Emeritus for the HBA. In 2020, she was recognized as one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Science Industry by PharmaVOICE.
