August 26, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm PDT

Silicon Valley Recovery Roundtable: Building a Better Normal

Over the course of the last 100 days,  a group of 59 community and business leaders has come together, convened by Mayor Sam Liccardo, to form the Silicon Valley Recovery Roundtable. One of the core questions the group was convened to discuss is, ‘How do we make our recovery inclusive for our community’s most vulnerable members?’  This effort engaged community members, leaders in the non-profit, labor and business communities to come up with a call to action in the wake of the economic devastation caused by COVID-19 and has developed a set of recommendations across Workforce Development and Economic Mobility, Housing Access and Financial Stability, with a particular focus on communities of color and undocumented workers.  Nicole Taylor and Gina Dalma, from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and Nicole Bennett, from Boston Consulting Group, will join us to share a preview of the Roundtable’s work.
