ALF Silicon Valley’s Class XLIV is just one week from completing their yearlong Fellows Program journey, having recently joined the incoming Fellows Program cohort on March 14 at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in East San Jose.
For the current Fellows from Class XLIV, the gathering was an opportunity to check in following their February dialogue, during which they explored leadership challenges, opportunities, and how they and their organizations might “comply” and/or “defy” during rapid change and uncertainty.
The day was also an opportunity to welcome and orientate the incoming Fellows from Class XLV, who are scheduled to officially begin on April 10. The two cohorts participated in the traditional multicultural drumming exercise led by ALF Senior Fellows Chike Nwoffiah (Class XXI) and Wisa Uemura (XXXI).
The newest Fellows also experienced an introduction to the ALF fundamentals of mindfulness and personal check-ins. The group also heard from a few Senior Fellows who generously shared their experiences and personal takeaways.
Stay tuned for recaps of Class XLIV’s March 28 graduation and a formal announcement of Class XLV! In the meantime, check out a few photos from the day below!
