Forward: Making Progress and Creating Impact

2022 Community Impact Report: Program summaries, engagement, financial reports, donor impact, and more.

Over the last year, I’ve continued using the mantra that came to me during the 2020 Fellows class: Grace, Empathy, Flexibility. We are all experiencing rapid change in real-time. What if we consciously choose to show up in these moments differently? What if we as humans practice patience and grace with each other versus anger and entitlement; empathy for those who we might typically view as strangers or adversaries; flexibility when needs, priorities, or expectations shift unexpectedly? One thing we do have control over in this moment, and in every moment, is how we respond to any given situation.

ALF will continue to ask the hard questions and “sit in the fire” with differing opinions to emerge sustainable, courageous solutions. To that end, I am excited to share our latest Community Impact Report with you, inspired by the progress we have made in just this past fiscal year.

2022 Community Impact ReportIn this report, you’ll find information on how we continue to weave the network in transformative ways. Here are a few highlights:

  • Forty-five Fellows in Classes XXXIX and XLI reported 78 collaborations for good.
  • ALF supported, managed, or facilitated 172 Affinity Group convenings, resulting in advocacy, policy shifts, and personal transformations.
  • ALF Insights conducted groundbreaking facilitation with 13 clients, including the Town of Los Gatos and the City of Watsonville.

Wishing you all a year of clarity and courage, friends.
