On April 18, 2024, we celebrated the impact and achievements of the 2024 John W. Gardner Award recipients Reymundo Espinoza and Minh Le and the 2024 Greg Ranstrom Network Leadership Award recipient Black Women On Boards.
For over thirty years, ALF Senior Fellows have recognized those among them who best represent American Leadership Forum’s core values at the annual Exemplary Leadership Celebration. This premier event brings this thriving, vibrant, and active network together once a year—along with colleagues, supporters, and champions—for an inspirational celebration of leadership that is among the most unique and inspiring in the Bay Area.

Reymundo Espinoza, ALF Class XX
Reymundo Espinoza has 48 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has worked with various non-profit and for-profit institutions throughout California and a limited amount of time in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Espinoza’s experience includes working in hospitals, planning agencies, hospital associations, and providing administrative and oversight activities in hospital-based clinics and freestanding outpatient clinics.
Under Mr. Espinoza’s leadership, Gardner Health Services has continued to expand its sites, services and programs. Currently, GHS has nine sites in Santa Clara County and one site in San Mateo County of which 7 are outpatient health centers along with a Healthcare to the Homeless Program that operates two clinic mobile units. GHS provides services to over 46,000 patients/ clients where 90% of our patients are at 150% of the federal poverty level (family of 4 making $56,000) of which over 12,000 have no insurance coverage.
Minh Le, ALF Class XIV
In addition to his professional endeavors, Minh has been a devoted servant leader in his community and a persistent advocate for ALF’s core values of diversity, inclusiveness, civility, engagement, and respect. In his life he consistently emphasizes the importance of unity and collaboration, encapsulated in the proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
2024 GREG RANSTROM NETWORK LEADERSHIP AWARD
The Greg Ranstrom Network Leadership Award, named in honor of the late Greg Ranstrom, ALF Fellows Program Director of 15 years, recognizes networks for the common good that demonstrate cross-sector collaboration and impact for equity.
Black Women on Boards
In the height of the pandemic, Merline Saintil and Robin Washington founded Black Women on Boards, a global organization of 200+ top executives. They prepare, place, and propel top Black female talent into the highest levels of board governance at market-moving companies, with nearly 40 placements to date.
