ALF Fireside Chat with Ken Yeager

November 7, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm PST

Join us on Tuesday, November 7, to learn more about the history and current status of LGBTQ+ rights and how the desire to be included led to an incredible career in community service at the local and county levels.

Former Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager (Class VI) brings a perspective to today’s political discourse that is not often heard—how advocating for civil rights can start with a simple action: running for office.

Ken’s new book Run! tells the story of how LGBTQ+ people in San Jose/Silicon Valley progressed from being political outcasts to becoming a force that gained political power, equality, and acceptance.

Date: Nov 7

Time: 5:30 PM -7:30 PM PT

Location: Hosted by Jean-Marie White (Class XXXVI) at his home in San Jose. Address to be provided just prior to the event.
