The Power of We: Creating a Multi-Racial Community of Care, Accountability, & Solidarity

In this retreat, we will explore:
–How the stress and trauma of racism impact us individually and collectively—intergenerationally, culturally, and in our interactions with each other.
–How we can heal together to strengthen multiracial community building and solidarity.
Yvonne Maxwell, LCSW and Executive Director of Ujima Adult & Family Services will lead a session on trauma and healing.
Chike Nwoffiah (Class XXI), Founder of the SV African Film Festival, will lead an interactive drumming workshop so that we can experience the healing power of cultural arts.
