Mary has worked in finance, banking, and the law since graduating from UCLA with a BS in Economics (1983) and a JD from Stanford Law School (1989). Most recently, she served as General Counsel of Silicon Valley Bank and as CEO of Green Dot Bank. Earlier in her career, she lived and worked in the Netherlands, where she was General Counsel of New Skies Satellites, and in Washington, D.C., where she served on the staff of Senator Edward M. Kennedy and worked in private practice.  Currently, Mary works as an executive coach and serves on corporate and non-profit boards, including the boards of All Five, Commonwealth, and the Stanford Institute for Research in the Social Sciences. Mary participated in ALF Class XXV and joined the ALF board in March 2020.
