2023–2026 Strategic Plan

PILLAR ONE | OFFER A COVETED AND BEST IN CLASS REGIONAL FELLOWS PROGRAM

OBJECTIVE

Fellows classes are representative of the diverse region we serve. Fellows have a more holistic view of civic and social systems through deep cross-sector relationships they’ve forged. New insights and relationships result in cultural and systemic shifts that move us towards more equitable and thriving communities.

OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS:

  • Curriculum framework incorporates new ALF Cornerstones and is transparent, bold and centered around moving from dialogue to action.
  • Up & coming leadership pipeline is created through public programming and workshop offerings.
  • An investment in outreach in SF & Oakland yields high profile Fellows across sectors.
  • ALF and the NDC will assess the viability of a second annual class based on nominations received, interest and cost; and if feasible, will launch a second annual class in Spring 2026-27.

PILLAR TWO | CONNECT, NURTURE AND ACTIVATE SENIOR FELLOWS

OBJECTIVE

At least 75% of Senior Fellows are connected into one or more ALF communities where they learn together, share resources and or collaborate on social and civic good efforts.

OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS:

  • Senior Fellows look to ALF for continued education via dialogue and content produced and distributed by ALF.
  • Collaborations are seen coming out of social, continued learning and impact-driven convenings.
  • ALF Silicon Valley Senior Fellows are connected to National Senior Fellows via affinity groups and networking tools.
  • ALF grows its capacity and brand as an incubator of Senior Fellow led activities and convener / partner of social impact initiatives.

PILLAR THREE | STRENGTHEN AND SCALE THE ALF MOVEMENT

OBJECTIVE

ALF Silicon Valley’s leadership helps fund a robust ALF National backbone that supports and activates the entire network, for the benefit of our leaders and those they serve. ALF Silicon Valley’s content and facilitation creates healthier conversations, actions and communities.

OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS:

  • ALF Silicon Valley completes strategic plan and fundraising for ALF National allowing ALFN to hire staff and become a hub for network weaving, programming and fundraising for all eight chapters.
  • ALF Silicon Valley’s brand is as a thought leader around holistic, meaningful, purpose driven human citizenship.
  • ALF Insights scales across bay area counties and begins connecting facilitators across the country using ALF values / principles (ALF Way).
  • ALF Silicon Valley Senior Fellows will be connected via a network app and be actively weaved through national programming.
  • ALF Silicon Valley’s book is distributed and used as the catalyst for speaking engagements, media coverage and opens the door for new chapters.
